Dr Anja Kriegeskotten
Psychiatrist and EAGALA certified Mental Health Expert

Anja is a Psychiatrist trained in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, as well as general Adult Psychiatry. She has extensive experience and a special interest in trauma.

Anja is also trained and certified to use the EAGALA model of Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. She has completed Part I and Part II training and attended the first EAGALA Pacific conference in 2012. In the Equine Assisted Psychotherapy team Anja holds the role of Mental Health Expert leading the psychotherapeutic intervention.  

Anja holds current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA - formerly Medical Board).

Anja has been working in psychiatry since 1997 across Australia and specialised in child and youth psychiatry in 2004.

Her work experience includes working for Qld Health in a specialised team treating traumatised children and adolescents in foster care. She has also worked at community mental health clinics in Qld and formerly in NT working with children and adolescents as well as adults. She has also done outreach to remote indigenous communities and mining towns.

Anja has been fascinated by horses all her life and has been riding for over 20 years. She has owned horses since 1995. She has competed in Endurance Riding in the past, but now enjoys leisurely trail rides.

 Holly Ohlson 

EAGALA Certified Equine Specialist
Holly Ohlson is an international riding instructor with over 40 years experience teaching, competing and training horses to world class level. Holly co-owned and developed Cedar Creek Equestrian Park as a facility for children and adults not only to learn to ride but also to learn how horses and humans relate through ground work activities.

In 2008, Holly pursued her interest in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and became certified as an Equine Specialist with the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA).  Holly has completed three EAGALA Part 1 and Part 2 training programs. In 2012 Holly attended the first EAGALA Pacific Conference where she co-presented a seminar entitled "Eagala and Horse Welfare". Holly also completed the first EAGALA Pacific Advanced Training program in November 2012.

Holly's expertise with horses ensures that all our programs are run with the utmost consideration for safety and client well being.
